Slavic Christmas Concert

Lowiczanie Polish Folk Ensemble's popular Slavic Choral Christmas Concert returns after a pandemic hiatus with an intimate, family-oriented format.  The concert delivers a delightful tapestry of traditional carols sourced from the rich textures of East European folk and sacred holiday music, sung and played in styles ranging from simple time-honored folk themes sung by children, to sacred carols rendered in beautiful harmonies. Professional and Community artists, dressed in authentic regional costumes, perform beloved seasonal music, song and dance repertoire from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova and more.   Concert-goers are invited to arrive early to enjoy a complimentary glass of hot mulled cider or wine (grzaniec in Polish). An early supper is offered for purchase including the popular rich Polish hunters stew (bigos), Polish dumplings (pierogi), and homemade pastries.   The program concludes with an audience favorite: an easy and joyful sing-along!  

The Slavic Christmas Concert is produced by Lowiczanie Polish Folk Ensemble of San Francisco, celebrating 47 years of community service. The mission of Lowiczanie is to entertain and educate audiences through presentations of traditional Polish folk and gentrys music, song and dance.   

Slavic Christmas Concert Tickets, through Brown Paper Tickets: 

• Adults: $15 advance/ $20 at door, a complimentary beverage is included with each adult entrance 
• Youth under 18 or students with i.d.: $5 advance / $7 at door.  
• Children under 6 years, free.
