Piotr Kodzis
Piotr brings to the Łowiczanie organization over 20 years of professional and volunteer experience in the non-profit
world. In his professional life, Piotr Kodzis serves as The Energy Foundation China Director of Finance, providing strategic planning input and financial leadership to a non-profit organization with a mission to achieve prosperity and a safe climate through sustainable energy. Previously, Mr. Kodzis had worked as the Chief Financial Officer of San Francisco Housing Development Corporation, where he managed financial, accounting, and risk management operations for the non-profit real estate development company.
In addition to serving on the Łowiczanie’s Board of Directors, Piotr’s charity work encompasses six years of service as President of The Polish-American Educational Committee of San Francisco, Inc. (2002-2007), work as an instructor (2002-2007) and treasurer (2008-present) for The Polish Scouting Organization in California, VP and Board member for Financial Executives International – San Francisco Chapter (2018-present).
Piotr earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Executive Management Program) from Saint Mary’s College of California and a Master’s degree in Marine Transportation from Gdynia Maritime
University, Poland.
Piotr enjoys kayaking, hiking and long motorcycle trips in the summer. During winter, he can be found skiing the slopes of Sierra Nevadas.

Mary Kay Stuvland
Mary Kay has been an elected member of the Board of Directors for over 25 years, including 19 years as Board President. She has served also on numerous Bay Area community non-profit cultural boards and advisory committees including for Westwind International Folk Ensemble, the Polish Club of San Francisco, the Jewish Music Festival, the Splendor of Poland Steering Committee, the Polish Cultural Center of the Pacific, and the SF Ethnic Dance Festival Advisory Committee. Mary Kay is a founding Board member of the SF-Krakow Sister City Organization and current Chairperson of its Folklore Committee. As a professional events manager, she has coordinated special programs for City Celebration, Inc., the SF Press Club, the Institute of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at UC Berkeley, and UC Berkeley's Young Musicians program, and was Business and Tour Manager for Westwind International Folk Ensemble. For service to the Polish community, Mary Kay was awarded the prestigious "Amicus Poloniae" and the "Pro Memoria," both bestowed by the Republic of Poland.
Mary Kay Stuvland is Artistic Director and Choreographer for Łowiczanie. A dancer in the Ensemble since 1979, her background includes jazz, modern and Latin technique, and she has taught and performed ballroom dance. She is a professional arts and events administrator, but is especially passionate about the world of dance and ethnography. A graduate of UC Berkeley in art and archaeology, she is currently studying Polish folk choreography and ethnography, with her diploma to be awarded in Rzeszów, Poland, July 2010. Mary's Kay's work is in the current repertory of Łowiczanie, Pulaski Polish Dancers of Fresno, and Lajkonik Polish Dancers of Tucson. She was choreographer for SF Pocket Opera's productions of Moniuszko's "Strasny dwor" (2009) and "Halka" (2010).

Malgorzata Wojciechowska
Gosia joined Lowiczanie ensemble in 2001 but her adventure with the Polish folk began in 1983, with the three different dance groups (ZPiT Komes, Jedliniok and Lowiczanie). She has presented Polish folk dances in various countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Americas throughout her dancing career. Gosia has received the National Cultural Activist of Merit Award for promoting Polish culture, and serves as Executive Director for Sokoly, an ensemble for kids that she founded together with Lowiczanie. Gosia’s biggest dream is to instill in kids the same passion and appreciation for the Polish folk dances and music that motivates her. Besides dancing, she loves reading, teaching kids, and working as an administrative professional at Stanford University.
