A wonderful free concert on the historic Music Concourse Stage in Golden Gate Park

What an auspicious performance! We performed two brand new choreographies, a very daunting task, but we delivered solid performances.
The new Ladies' Mazur, which opened the concert, featured a first time soloist Marie Kirschnerova and Michal Klempka alongside an army of ladies.
Next, we presented a kujawiak, the famed Polish dance of romance.
To close the first set, we danced our choreography for Stanislaw Moniuszko's Halka mazur. This piece was originally created for the Pocket Opera's production of Moniuszko's opera, Halka.
The second set is the new dance we are most excited to present. This choreography was created for us in January of 2023 by Anna Iskra, the foremost expert in the songs and dances of Bilgoraj. The striking costumes were made for us by a woman owned and run business in Ukraine.
Our final suite of dances hail from the Spisz region of Poland, a very small area on the border between Poland and Slovakia.
All in all, a great performance for this year's Third of May Celebration, aka Polish Constitution Day.
